This helps your body to get ready for sleep. In addition, it's a good idea not to eat or exercise just before you go to bed. You should also limit your alcohol intake, and try not to watch TV before you go to sleep. It's possible to maintain theses routines when you're away from home, and this should help you to sleep more easily and more comfortably.

If you are staying in a hotel and you find that your bed is extremely uncomfortable, ask to be moved to another room. The hotel will accommodate your request if it can, and, if you are specific about the reason for moving, you may be able to move to a room with a newer or firmer mattress that could help you to get the quality sleep you need.
