Crown Bedding was established in 1919 and has grown since then to become one of the country's leading suppliers. In 1964 the company revealed the Posture Springing® technique, which introduced the first spring system specially designed for sleep. Since then, the company has continued to make a significant investment in research and development to keep Slumberland mattresses ahead of the competition.

Slumberland is now based in Oldham, Lancashire and is part of the leading European bedding group, Hilding Anders, which employs over 3,000 people across 26 countries.

Posture Springing® System

Slumberland's Posture Springing® system is a unique technique that uses a single piece of wire to form the hundreds and even thousands of springs necessary to provide a really supportive mattress. At the lowest count, Posture Spring mattresses use 700 springs - twice as many as an average standard double bed and the company's top-of-the-range posture spring series uses 2,400 springs for incredible sleep support.

The company hasn't forgotten to adapt its techniques to modern life, however. Like its competitors, Slumberland uses memory foam fillings for some of its range, combining it with additional underlying support to create mattresses that give you the best of both worlds.
