Experts have discovered the four most common sleeping positions, and what’s more, they believe it says a lot about your personality. How stubborn you are, how stressed out you are, and even how bossy you are – this can all be explained through the way you sleep in bed.
Here are the four sleeping positions. Which one is yours?
1. Foetal position
What it looks like: Lying on your side with your knees pulled up to your chest
What it means: You’re likely to be feeling stressed out, and by going into the foetal position, you’re trying to return to a childlike, de-stressed state of mind. Foetal sleepers tend to dwell on their problems, like things to be in order and are conscientious.
How to improve it: Foetal sleepers can become a little bit stuck in their ways, so you should try to do something new, or something that scares you, every day.
2. The Log
What it looks like: Lying on your back with your arms straight by your sides
What it means: This rigid position is done by rigid people; you might be a little on the stubborn side, enjoy tradition and routine and others may see you as bossy.
How to improve it: Take time to truly relax and loosen up your body. Add a little fun to your day!
3. The Yearner
What it looks like: Lying on your side with your arms stretched out in front of you
What it means: You like to chase your dreams! You accept everything life has to throw at you with open arms, you’re enthusiastic, however you can be quick to give up if things don’t go your way.
How to improve it: Keep up your enthusiastic personality, but be careful that you’re not spending your time chasing something that wastes your time.
4. Free faller
What it looks like: Lying face down
What it means: Feeling a little out of control? So do most free fallers. You may wake up in the morning feeling overwhelmed and anxious to get things done; you often feel like life happens around you and that you’re task-orientated.
How to improve it: Learn assertiveness skills. You’ll feel more motivated and in control!
