The Italy mattress offers traditional manufacturing techniques and excellent value for money. The Italy mattress is an open coil mattress.

The primary function of the open coil mattress being to provide resistance and support for all different shapes and sizes.

Sometimes known as innerspring mattresses, an open coil mattress consists of a number of coil springs, a standard double bed has approximately 325 coil springs, manufacturers and sizes do differ. The coils are assembled into a single construction with helical wire which is a thin, spiral wire that joins the wire at the top and bottom to form several rows. An outer rod is then fitted around the top and bottom of the finished construction to provide additional strength.

Once the basic construction is completed, the mattress can be filled and the ticking applied. Various types of upholstery lend the mattress its comfortability feel.

The Italy mattress contains a 13.5 gauge spring system supported by 8 gauge rod ends for added support. This mattress contains layers of sumptuous fillings including white fabrics, cottons and supersoft polyester. The cover is an attractive Belgian damask fabric which is Hand quilted for extra comfort and style.

The comfort level of this mattress is a medium feel.
