Sealy’s research and development department, which prides itself on focusing on the ‘science of sleep’, created the Posturepedic line of mattresses as a result of several advances in technology that they have identified.

The Posturepedic Firm Support Mattress uses Sealy’s patented zero deflection PostureTech spring system. The mattress is constructed with a number of small diameter springs that respond directly to every movement that your body makes, this helps to relieve any pressure points to give you a blissful night of uninterrupted sleep.

The Firm Support mattress has been designed in conjunction with leading orthopaedic surgeons and scientists.
The Backcare Mattress features ‘edge 2 edge’ technology. Edge to edge uses rigid foam rods around the perimeter of the mattress, to which every spring is power clipped. This gives you consistently firm support over the entire surface of the mattress, the same level of support in fact, around the edges of the mattress as in the centre of the mattress.

The Backcare mattress also offers carefree quality in the fact they are no-turn and do not need to be turned on a regular basis. The mattress is traditionally handtufted and is covered in a luxurious Belgian damask fabric.
