The primary function of the Canterbury Cotton Deluxe open coil mattress is to provide resistance and support for all different shapes and sizes.
Sometimes known as innerspring mattresses, an open coil mattress consists of a number of coil springs, a standard double bed has approximately 325 coil springs. The coils are assembled into a single construction with helical wire which is a thin, spiral wire that joins the wire at the top and bottom to form several rows. An outer rod is then fitted around the top and bottom of the finished construction to provide additional strength.
The Canterbury Is an extra firm mattress; with its Ortho Spring Unit it makes a great supported mattress for that heavier Adult, or any one that likes a firm mattress.
The Cotton Deluxe mattress contains soft hollowfibre felt fillings that enhances the comfort. The mattress is covered in a striped Damask style soft cotton cover. The cover is traditionally hand tufted. Side air vents make the mattress very breathable so the air can circulate within the mattress.
