The Milan Mattress is the standard mattress in our collection, representing excellent value for money. The Milan mattress is ideal for those who prefer a medium level of firmness.
The Milan mattress contains a 13.5 gauge open coil spring system.
Probably the oldest design still used in today’s manufacturing, the primary function of the open coil mattress is to provide resistance and support for all different shapes and sizes.
Sometimes known as innerspring mattresses, an open coil mattress consists of a number of coil springs, a standard double bed has approximately 325 coil springs, manufacturers and sizes do differ. The coils are assembled into a single construction with helical wire which is a thin, spiral wire that joins the wire at the top and bottom to form several rows. An outer rod is then fitted around the top and bottom of the finished construction to provide additional strength.
The Milan mattress contains luxurious felt fibre fillings. The mattress is covered in a stitch bond multi quilted fabric cover.
The overall depth of the Milan mattress is 20cms.
