Research shows that typical teenagers need 8 ? and sometimes more than 9 hours of sleep a night. Research goes even further to say that, even though parents think adolescents shouldn't stay up as late as they do, teens actually have a different sleep pattern than adults and younger children. So, the answer to the question, do teen require less sleep is "no."
