How to ensure a Good Nights Sleep

The key to a good night?s sleep is creating a good sleep environment and obviously this begins with your mattress and bedroom. If you have disruptions throughout the night, you may want to look around and remove the cause of those disruptions. Think about your bed first. Ask yourself, is it large enough? If you cannot stretch out and turn comfortably in the bed, then there is a problem. Get a larger mattress! If you wake up in the morning with a sore neck or back, it may be your mattress, bedding, or pillows causing it. Your mattress may be too soft or too hard for your body. Experiment with different firmness levels of mattresses at the store to see which may suit you better. Do the same with your pillows. Also, if the bedding is scratchy or not keeping you warm or cool enough consider re-evaluating your sheets. Your bedroom is really an important factor in getting a good night?s sleep. Your bedroom should be a sleep haven. Keep it quiet, dark, comfortable, and well-ventilated. Think about removing the television, telephone, and anything else that may disrupt your sleep. Remember, your bedroom should be used for sleep only, which means keeping books, computers, and writing out of the bedroom.
