Not only do they work autonomously and collectively to keep the spine supported and aligned, but they also help to relieve the strain placed on pressure points, such as the shoulders, hips, and knees. Each mattress holds 6kg of natural, responsibly-sourced wool – the equivalent of three sheep fleeces. While wool is naturally soft and springy, it also helps regulate the body's temperature and wick moisture away from the sleeper, making this an ideal mattress, whether it's the height of summer or the depths of winter. In addition, wool is naturally anti-allergenic due to its peerless breathability. To maximise the levels of comfort and support, the Hypnos Orthos Origins 9 is finished with three rows of hand-sewn side stitching. Not only does this help to maximise the sleep surface and prevent sagging, but they also ensure the mattress’ longevity. Stitching using traditional techniques also helps prevent sleepers from unwittingly rolling together while finishing the mattress in hotel-quality style. Everything is kept securely in place with hand-sewn woollen tufting.
