Great product. Just a little disconcerting that it arrived in a box. I had to take it up the stairs. As its very heavy it was difficult and even more difficult to unpack it as it seems to be vacuum packed. Once open it soon plumped up.

What materials do Harrison Spinks use?

Harrison Spinks are dedicated to using only the most organic materials available to create the best of natural mattresses. British wool from their own 300 acre farm is combined with Hemp, which they use due to its resilience and durability, as well as its super absorbent fibres that help to absorb moisture from the mattress while you sleep, keeping you cool and dry. Flax, as well as all other materials used in their products, is also sustainably grown and harvested on the Harrison Spinks farm, which is used to make linen as a result of its breathable qualities.

Are Harrison Spinks mattresses hypoallergenic?

The materials grown and harvested from the Harrison Spinks farm for their collections are naturally hypoallergenic. Chemical-free and grown or reared on the Harrison Spinks farm, even their mohair is obtained from shearing their own Angora goats twice a year - they never use Angora rabbit hair.

Where is Harrison Spinks based?

Harrison Spinks are proud northerners. The Harrison Spinks farm on which they rear their own flock of sheep is just eighteen miles from their factory in Leeds, giving them maximum control over their processes and materials.

One of their newer farms in Ryther, Yorkshire, has helped Harrison Spinks become the UK's largest hemp grower, producing more than 1000 tonnes of hemp anually. By sustainably growing and harvesting their own hemp and flax from their Yorkshire farms, Harrison Spinks are able to produce their luxurious mattresses in the most environmentally responsible way possible.
