Bought this metal bed frame together with a new mattress, the sleepeezee cashmere royale pocket mattress which is a great product. I cannot state the same for the bed frame. I appreciate you cannot have a great product for this price, it looks decently good ( hence my decision to buy it) but the bed is quite flimsy and I was a bit concerned with its thin metal and plastic elements, fixings and overall strength. It was suppose to replace an older steel bed frame but it appears quite a bit weaker than the old one.It came packed in two cardboard boxes, one for the longer bars, the other, a wider and quite bashed one containing the header and feet panels, plywood slats, bolts and plastic fixings.When opened, realised one of the legs welded in the header panel suffered a hit that bended it slightly. I managed to straighten up the leg myself when I realised how thin the steel elements are and how small amount of welding is used. When fixed in place, there is not enough rigidity and stability of the piece, being way too flexible and bouncy front to back for your expectations in a steel framed bed. On top of it, one of the plastic element to fix the slats by the frame came with fixing pins broken in the bag, I ended up using an improvised fixing with crossed cable ties.I had to use it immediately as I got rid of my previous bed frame, it does the job for now but im afraid I would recommend people to choose in a slightly higher price range if decent quality is expected.
