This design has a big gap top and bottom (head and foot of bed) and there is a sense of a 'missing' slat though the design does not accommodate more slats--they stop well short of head and foot. This means if you sit up in bed or even use a foam mattress, there's zero support and the mattress disappears down the hole.I was horrified as I bought this because it was a premium frame and I have never seen a bed frame with a large gap top and bottom, when there was space for one or two more slats. With a tufted, heavy mattress, maybe it would not be so bad but with foam, it is a hazard and impossible to use.I had to buy extra slats. Not the premium base I was expecting. If it were not for this issue, I would like it a lot more. But this problem prevents comfort and causes back pain, not least allows the mattress top and pillows to dive down the gap etween frame and headboard. This is a product development problem and should have been remedied.It's even worse in the days when we buy most things online since sending items back is difficult and costly; this allows manufacturers to produce half-baked designs.
