This is a heavy, solid but the medium softness means you feel surrounded in cushions while still lots of support. Based on other reviews on origins 6 being one of the best mattresses we chose the 8 for the extra depth, springs & comfort. Its still early days but backs feel much better & I love the smell of wool when its new, it gradually wears off, so much better than some of the chemical smells you get from synthetic fibres. My only concern is it is quite heavy when changing the sheets, a two person job for the king size, but otherwise delighted with it, especially as its made in the u.K. &all natural materials
