This mattress is hard as a board - not firm in a supportive way, rather feels like sleeping on a flat surface. I had back pain before adding a topper (and with the price I paid I do not think a topper should be a necessity). Furthermore I was incredibly dissatisfied with the return/exchange process that costs 99 pounds and requires a 50 night minimum trial or a two week turn-around and a *self return* to the warehouses. This was in the fine print and entirely unknown to me when I purchased the mattress. If I had known I would not have bought a mattress through this company.
