Memory Foam vs. Pocket Sprung for Side Sleepers

At MattressNextDay, we offer a huge range of different mattress types. Thankfully, most options suit side sleepers so long as they have a soft or medium tension.

Memory Foam: Highly recommended for side sleepers. Memory foam mattresses gently mould to your body shape, providing bespoke pressure relief exactly where your hips and shoulders press into the bed.
Pocket Sprung: A great option if you prefer a traditional, bouncy feel. Look for a pocket-sprung mattress with a high spring count or a plush "pillow top" to ensure you get the cushioning your joints need alongside the tailored support.
Hybrid: The best of both worlds. A hybrid mattress pairs supportive pocket springs with a comforting top layer of memory foam or cooling gel, which is ideal for side sleepers who get hot at night.
