Our old mattress was coming up to 12 years old, and we being well on the large size thought it would be good to invest in a new one. I was a bit reluctant as before that one we chose a mattress to suit me, and found it didnt suit my wife, only to replace it a year after with one that didnt suit me. We both needed a firm bed, but me being allergic to just about everything man made caused loads of problems. Out old Hypnos bed with a natural fibre topper was great, but cost silly money, and now Im retired and not earning was beyond our scope. I came across the Millbrook Regent Wool Ortho Mattress purely by chance. Wool fibre, firm, pocket spring at an affordable price, and British made to boot. It was our ideal, judging by our experiences in the past. Customers of MatressNextDay, where I found it gave a good reviews, supplied it and within a couple of days delivered it. I have to say, the two delivery men who bought our new mattress to our home were really helpful, friendly and quick. They had deposited the new mattress on our bed upstairs, and left with our old one inside 10 minutes. I have a Withings Sleep Monitor fitted under the mattress, and from the first day it recorded my sleep as being much better. I also feel much more refreshed in the mornings, so all good from my side. Im also pleased to report that my wife also gets a better nights sleep so the mattress is defiantly a winner for us. One thing about this mattress, its no lightweight, as I turned it 180 degrees as reccommended yesterday, so thanks again to those delivery men as I would have struggled to get it upstairs. Turning it made me notice how well made it is. Who knows how many years it will last, only time will tell on that score, but by the look and feel of it, I can see better sleeps ahead.

We love a firm mattress and this one is FIRM. It feels like you are getting onto a board the first time you lie on it but it's remarkably comfortable and we slept well from the get-go. If you genuinely like firm mattresses this is a great option. We specifically wanted a wool mattress and were glad to find this one.
